Who we help / Pharma & Biotech Commercial

Expand access to your approved advanced therapy

Current Health gives pharma and biotech companies the safety, operating, and evidence infrastructure to broaden patient access to approved advanced therapies: 24/7 nurse support for patients and caregivers through the at-risk window after infusion or across step-up dosing, seamlessly integrated monitoring technology, readiness support for treatment centers and community practices that choose to take part, and consented, deidentified real-world evidence.

How we partner

Three ways to work with Current Health

After approval, sponsors work with us in three ways, and each one runs on the same model and nurses and adds to the evidence base.

Phase IV and implementation

Post-approval studies

Studies that show how your therapy performs outside the academic center, measuring outpatient and community delivery, hospital use, and patient experience to support label and site-of-care expansion.

After the prescription

Patient support programs

The clinical layer inside your existing program, covering the highest-risk days after each dose, with outcomes reported back to you.

Launch and growth

Access expansion programs

A sponsored opt-in service. You fund monitoring and 24/7 clinical cover for an agreed number of patients at an agreed set of treating sites, and we get each site ready to offer your therapy.

The access gap

Most eligible patients never receive an advanced therapy

Treatment is concentrated in a small number of academic centers. Distance, bed capacity, and the need for close monitoring after each dose keep many patients from ever being referred, and limit how far a therapy can reach after approval. The gap is growing, with close to 180 advanced therapies expected to be approved by 2030.

How we help expand access to your therapy

The site capacity, around-the-clock coverage, and evidence that drive adoption after launch.

Patient support programs

24/7 nurse support and monitoring technology through the at-risk window

Our nurses and technology support patients and caregivers day and night after CAR-T infusion, or from the first bispecific step-up dose through the first full dose, at home or in lodging near the treating center.

Access expansion programs

Monitoring and nurse coverage for sites that choose to take part

Treatment centers already running outpatient programs, and community practices closer to patients, can add monitoring and 24/7 nurse coverage through your therapy's at-risk window.

Evidence

Real-world evidence for payer and site-of-care decisions

With patient consent, the programs you fund produce deidentified data on how your therapy performs in outpatient and community settings, for your medical affairs, HEOR, and market access teams.

Patient support programs

24/7 clinical support for patients and caregivers through the highest-risk days

We help your program tackle access and affordability. Our 24/7 nurses support patients through the highest-risk days after each dose, under the treating site’s protocols, so they can be treated outpatient or at a community site near them, with less travel and time away from home. Outcomes are reported back to you.

01

Treatment closer to home

With nurses supporting them at home day and night, patients can be treated outpatient or in their community instead of traveling to an academic center for days of observation.

02

Patients stay on therapy

Side effects are recognized early and managed under the site’s protocol, so fewer patients stop treatment or are admitted unnecessarily.

03

Treating teams stay in control

Sites set eligibility, protocols, escalation, and site of care. Teams learn one standard across therapies.

04

Outcomes come back to you

We agree on outcome measures with you up front. Results are reported as consented, deidentified, aggregate data to your medical affairs, HEOR, and market access teams, for payer and site-of-care evidence.

Market expansion programs

More sites ready to treat, sooner

Through a sponsor-funded program that treatment centers and community practices choose to join, we put monitoring and 24/7 nurse coverage around their patients through your therapy's at-risk window. Eligible patients can then be treated outpatient or closer to home.

Each program covers an agreed number of patients and monitoring days, sized to your therapy's clinical at-risk window. We handle implementation, training, go-live, and logistics for the patient-facing service, and each site keeps a named on-call clinician for escalation.

Site identification and recruitment

We help you identify treatment centers and community practices that meet your therapy's site requirements, and support each site that chooses to take part from first conversation to go-live.

Site readiness

Site enablement that shortens the path to first patient: program build, preparation for FACT accreditation, and support with REMS certification where it applies, payer site-of-care approvals, and your site qualification. FACT, payers, and your team make their own decisions.

Configured to the asset

Monitoring matched to your therapy's labeled toxicities and their timing, from bispecific step-up dosing to outpatient CAR-T, where the product's labeling and the treating team's protocols allow. Our nurses assess CRS, ICANS, infection, hypotension, and neurologic and cardiac symptoms, including later-onset neurotoxicity where your label calls for it, and escalate under the treating team's protocols. Lab-defined toxicities, such as cytopenias and IEC-HS, stay with the treating team's lab schedule.

24/7 clinical coverage

Our Clinical Coordination Center supports patients and caregivers around the clock through the at-risk window, documents every contact, and escalates to the site's named on-call clinician when the treating team's protocols call for it.

Fully managed logistics

Our in-house team handles kit shipping, collection, reprocessing, and inventory, so site teams never have to manage devices or deliveries.

Evidence from every site

Consented, deidentified physiologic and clinical data from outpatient delivery, with quality, utilization, and patient experience metrics for each site reported to your medical affairs and HEOR teams.
